Founder & CEO
Shanell Williams
Shanell brings over fifteen (15) years of business experience and six (6) years in early childhood education. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and a Master's Degree in Business Administration with a Dual Concentration in Finance and Accounting and Human Resource Management. As a certified Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR provider, Shanell takes a hands-on approach to business operations, personally overseeing daily activities, staff development, and curriculum design. Her expertise in developing flexible childcare programs has been instrumental in creating our innovative Build-A-Care membership model that allows parents to customize their childcare experience based on their unique scheduling needs

Partnership Coordinator / Community Engagement
Brittany Thomas
With more than 24 years in childcare and early education, Brittany brings a wealth of experience and heart to Phoenix Kids Club. Her background with Head Start shaped her passion for family engagement and community collaboration. In her role as Community Engagement Specialist and Partnership Coordinator, Brittany works closely with families and partners to strengthen connections, expand opportunities, and ensure every child is supported in a nurturing environment.

Nurse Practitioner
Deshawn Williams
Deshawn Williams is a licensed Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) dedicated to providing compassionate, comprehensive healthcare to individuals and families across the lifespan. With advanced clinical training and a patient-centered approach, she delivers high-quality care that emphasizes prevention, education, and long-term wellness.
As a Family Nurse Practitioner, Deshawn is trained to diagnose and treat a wide range of acute and chronic health conditions, perform comprehensive physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic testing, and develop individualized treatment plans. Her care philosophy centers on treating the whole person—addressing physical, emotional, and social factors that influence overall health and well-being.
In addition to primary and preventive care, Deshawn specializes in pulmonary care and skilled nursing services, bringing extensive experience in the management of respiratory and pulmonary conditions, including the use and oversight of pulmonary equipment, oxygen therapy, tracheostomy care, and ventilatory support. Her clinical expertise also includes PEG tube management, advanced wound care, pacemakers, and care for non-ambulatory patients with complex medical needs.
Deshawn is deeply committed to family-centered care, health education, and empowering patients and caregivers through clear communication and supportive guidance. Her dedication to clinical excellence, safety, and compassionate service makes her a trusted healthcare provider and a valuable asset to the families and communities she serves.

Assistant Director
Jemilat Cherry
With over 15 years of childcare experience, Jemilat brings valuable expertise to our team, including 7 years in Montessori education. Her diverse background encompasses 3 years as a Summer Camp Recreation Instructor and 5 years as a traditional Lead Childcare Teacher. Jemilat's bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish enables her to communicate effectively with our diverse families while also teaching Spanish language skills to children through engaging, hands-on lessons. She specializes in creating safe, prepared learning environments that guide children through developmental milestones. With 2 years of management experience at Phoenix Kids Club, Jemilat expertly oversees scheduling, billing, and facility maintenance. Her experience with round-the-clock operations is invaluable in ensuring our 24/7 childcare services run seamlessly

Lead School-Aged Teacher
Cynthia Storms
Cynthia has devoted her career to childcare since her teenage years, accumulating over 10 years of experience across various childcare settings and age groups, including specialized work with children with disabilities. She has completed her Child Development Associates (CDA) certification, providing her with comprehensive knowledge of child development and classroom management. Additionally, Cynthia holds Georgia state certifications in Health and Safety training and Transportation protocols. She finds fulfillment in witnessing children's growth and development, taking pride in providing them with essential skills for their future. As Assistant Director, Cynthia ensures classroom management excellence, enforces safety protocols, and verifies proper parent sign-in and sign-out procedures to maintain our high security standards.
